Red Cross is the largest humanitarian aid organization in the world and helps in everyday life and during disasters. As a part of a new voluntary house, an extension to Red Cross’ headquarter in Copenhagen, ArtRebels was asked to conceptualize and produce the design of the entrance room. Having a room as the link between the new and old buildings, the interior was based on telling the story of both and creating an aesthetic consistency throughout the exploration of the space. Connecting the inner structures in the buildings at different levels, give the feeling of being taken care of and guided through the history of the organization.
We worked together with design studio Spacon & X in creating the spatial design. The main focus was the flexibility in constantly being able to communicate current cases at Red Cross through different formats as photo exhibitions, personal stories, drawings or objects directly from the field.
